FRED SEGAL BEAUTY

Call it KARMA for Michael Baruch and Paul DeArmas when their ‘FRED SEGAL BEAUTY/AGENCY/WORKSHOPS came to a crashing end. For the past 16 years Michael Baruch bullied his way into the beauty industry. He has subjected his staff to harassment for years. From threats to stop stylists from leaving to open their own business; to under-handed dirty business; to not paying or bouncing checks (sometimes 3x for the same issue) to sub contracted stylists & make-up artists, and much more. He has tried to blackmail stylists in hopes to scare them from opening their business or leaving to go to a "emotionally healthy" salon. He has verbally harassed former stylists during Fashion Week while they worked on Models or were siting in their seats with their families at the shows. And now to add insult to injury WWD writes that “Fred Segal Beauty helped launch the careers of many stylists, and in the Los Angeles area, Fred Segal Beauty alumni at the helm of their own salons include Eva Diaz Duarte at Duarte, Eli Thomas at Thomas Chase Hairdressing, Frank Galasso at Frank Studio and Corey Powell at The Parlour.” Lets get one thing straight these stylist had to fight to keep there cliental from the evil hands of Baruch/DeArmas. They had to struggle to open their business. The aforementioned are the ones that survived, many did not. One of those stylist that fell under the pressure is Matt Adams. Whom after being harassed and bullied by Baruch/DeArmas closed his Sunsent Plaza Salon doors. Baruch/DeArmas did not “help” launch those stylist careers, they did everything to destroy them. Throughout the past 16 years Baruch passes himself off as the "owner of FRED SEGAL" neglecting to add "BEAUTY" in hopes to gain respect warranted only for Michael Segal. Frankly it is my opinion that the Segals have had enough of this man abusing their family name. Baruch is NOT a Segal. The Segals are a respectable beautiful family with family values, which Baruch is far from that. Furthermore, other owners of stores in FRED SEGAL are tired of Baruch's "self entitlement" by abusing the trade mark of FRED SEGAL. Baruch came from the "parking lot" now he can return. Baruch has no place in the fashion and beauty business because there is nothing beautiful about this heinous man. Thankfully some have fought him and triumphed, one even won punitive damages in a lawsuit. The closing of FRED SEGAL BEAUTY is only the beginning of his KARMA. Next in line for their retribution are L'OREAL, Kerastase.....and then the IRS. KARMA may take sometime to be served but it is the sweetest justice!
