If Patagonia and North Face just won't cut it for your next cold weather destination, Belgian company Chauncey will chicly warm you up. This Brussels-based menswear label has the aesthetically minded globetrotter covered with a collection that spins some mighty good yarn. Nathalie Bouhana (who designed knitwear for menswear collections at Hermès, Salvatore Ferragamo, Purdey and Dunhill) and photographer David Sidka craft timeless pieces designed for frigid climates.

Packing light, the designers carry "one total look" throughout each season—to avoid an over-abundance of garments by reincorporating each season's look into future lines. Using only fine Italian yarns, this season's silhouette is comprised of a cashmere and cotton jacket as well as a waistcoat knit with 6 and 8 ply gauges to ensure that even the most biting winds won't damper your spirit. Their cotton/cashmere cardigan and trousers boast hidden tea pockets because, according to the duo, "tea is the best friend of any true traveler."

Currently in its first season, this fledgling label is still in talks to develop their price points. But, with an October 2008 date set to sell knitwear, hats and gloves from their website, a potential shop to open in Brussels and underground buzz, it looks like Chauncey is set for a great adventure of its own.
