Endless Summer: Anna & Boy's Swimwear
April 29th, 2008 | Sydney
Anna & Boy is a swimwear line from Anna Hewett and Lill Boyd, two Down Under It girls with an Australian Vogue pedigree. The on-the-rise duo designs with "a fashion person's take on swimwear," Hewett told us as we scanned racks of delectable printed bathing suits and cover-ups from their third collection."We work essentially in five shapes, and we keep the shapes really simple," explains Hewitt of the brand's well-edited approach. "We can't fit everyone so we fit within our friendship group"—a set that includes both curvy and skinnier body types. While it might not be totally inclusive, the approach is widely representative.
With the girls' roots in fashion editorial, it's no surprise that stores such as Browns and Net-a-porter already stock the label. And, gentlemen, take note as well—Anna & Boy also has a charmed line of short suits for men.

The shots were captured primarily at Michael Roberts' book signing for Saved (a photo essay on life at the beach in Rio) and at the samba rumbling fete at The Oteros and at Jo de Mer's show at Oscar Neimeyer's first house in Brazil.
